Is my credit rating affected when an insurance score inquiry is made?

No. Insurance inquiries are part of what is called ‘soft inquiries.’ These are stored in a separate section of your credit report and are not part of the traditional credit scoring system. When you request a copy of your credit report, you will see soft inquiries. However, they will not be available for others to see when applying for new credit.

Unitrin Specialty does not deny coverage solely on the basis or race, color, creed, disability, credit report, or income.
