Do all insurance companies use insurance scores?

Since the original Fair Credit Reporting Act of 1970, insurance companies have been allowed to use credit reports in the underwriting process. Over 90% of auto insurers use insurance scoring models today. However, it is important to remember that the insurance credit score is just one of several underwriting tools insurance companies use to calculate rates.
